Southern Africa Nazarene University [SANU], a Christian University based in Eswatini invites applications for the positions of University Registrar and Marketing Manager, which are management positions. The incumbents shall be responsible for the administrative activities of the University in accordance with the terms and conditions of Constitution and Statutes of SANU. This will be inclusive of monitoring compliance with Regulations, Policies, and Codes of Practice of the Board of Governors, the Council and the Senate of the University.

REGISTRAR

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in relevant administration field
  • PhD an added advantage

Minimum Experience

  • Relevant experience, of which 5 years should have been in a management role
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical matters effectively with people of varying skills and background, including board members, supervisors, college faculty and staff, students, and the general public
  • Experience in a tertiary institution is an added advantage

    Duties
  • Provide leadership in planning, organising and managing all the activities related to; all records, registration, admissions department and examination unit;
  • Responsible for the University’s student records collecting, recording, maintaining and reporting as per the guidelines;
  • Oversight of the work of the Assistant Registrars: Academic Administration in the planning and regulation of all academic processes.
  •  Accountable for the integrity of the academic record, and all forms of certification of academic achievement of past and present students.
  •  Active participation in the work of University committees.
  • Act as Statutory Secretary to Council and Board of Governors.
  •  Arrange appointments/elections and ensure that all bodies are correctly constituted.
  • Supervise the coordination, evaluation and certification of all graduation applications,
  • Oversee the complete graduation process – the rehearsal and the convocation ceremony
  •  Prepare and monitor the annual budget of the Registrar’s Office
  • Plan, manage and report on the budget and expenditure
  •  Manage procurement and Provide input on relevant academic policy and procedures.
  • safeguard compliance to policies, procedures, and required legislation;
  • Ensure an effective archival service for University records;
  •  Provide leadership in and advise University governing bodies, committees and management groups;
  •  Contribute to the development of the University strategy.
  • Exercise delegated authority ensuring the protection of the University’s interests.
  • Budget, ensuring compliance with spending rules and reviewing and authorizing expenditure
  • Shall be the Chief Examinations officer of the University
  • Draft and publish the Senate-approved Calendar and Almanac
  • Establish a student-cantered culture in line with the University’s ethos.
  • Supervise processes leading to counsel, students’ advisement, and academic matters.
  • Supervise processes leading to counsel, faculty and staff advisement on human resources matters.
  • Liaise with Deans Committee chairs, Bursar on academic policy decisions.
  • Ensure executive team is kept informed of strategic developments and trends in student and academic administrative-related matters.
  •  Liaise with professional organizations, accreditation bodies and the Ministry of Education & Training.
  • Oversight of Student non-academic issues.

MARKETING MANAGER

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related field
  • A Masters in Marketing or Business Administration will be an added advantage

Minimum Experience

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience at a management level

  • Duties Brand Promotion and Marketing Activities
  • Develop and implement creative marketing strategies for promoting the University’s national and international visibility, profile and brand.
  •  Manage the production and effective dissemination of marketing related literature and publications; promote a positive image of the University with
  •  Participate in developing, implementation and management of the marketing and communications budget.

Liaison and Networking

  • Liaise internally with University staff; externally with prospective students, lecturers, career officers, media houses, current students, alumni and other stakeholder in respect of all marketing related activities
  •  Attend and contributed as directed to student recruitment events as necessary
  •  Attend Career Events to promote the University Community; Monitors and evaluates stakeholder perception of the University.
  •  Manage the University Alumni Engagement Office.

Resource Mobilization

  • Assist the PVC-Admin office in resource mobilization and fundraising activities in the University.
  • Work with University stakeholders in rising awareness about on-going University fundraising campaigns for resource developments and student scholarship.
  • Oversee and coordinate web-based fundraising campaigns.

Any other

  • Perform any other work related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time-to time by the Pro Vice-Chancellor Administration.
