Overview of the Programme

The Bachelor of Education (Special and Inclusive Education) is a three year programme of study intended for teachers who wish to enhance their skills in the area of special needs. It will give you the skills, understandings, attitudes and values to effectively include diverse learners who need support to access aspects of the curriculum. The programme will extend your capacity to design teaching and assessment strategies that are effective for a wide range of learners. You’ll also learn to work collaboratively with families of these children and others involved in their care and education. Your skills for evidence-based learning and teaching will be enhanced and you’ll have access to a wide range of teaching resources.

Admission Requirements

The applicant must be a holder of a Diploma or Degree in Education and a practising teacher.

Duration

This is a three (3) year programme of study delivered through a mixed mode, i.e. part-time and block. Part-time lectures run on Saturdays and block lectures run weekly when schools are closed.
