PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Diploma in Business Management and Entrepreneurship (Dip. BME) is designed for full-time learners who are capable of completing the course of study in three to four years. The Diploma Program is made up of 30 modules totaling 360 credit hours which include a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) experience. The academic year is divided into two semesters of fifteen weeks each. These weeks are made up of lectures, tutorials, practical, study weeks, reading weeks and examinations. Each module is conducted so as to include classroom instructional time equivalent to at least 2 hours per week and 1 hour per week of practical applications of entrepreneurship.
Due to the practical nature of the program after completion of the program graduates can start and manage their own business ventures which can be for profit or social enterprises. Graduates of the program can also join the world of employment in junior positions in finance/ accounting, marketing and general management of small businesses in the following career fields:
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants to this program must have must have at least three credits in business related modules including mathematics and a pass or better in English.
DURATION
This is a three (3) year course designed to equip students, with practical business and entrepreneurial skills.
CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES
The programme will equip students with the broad business skills to enable them to work in any business/industry in traditional/digital marketing, general management, accounting & finance, etc.
