8th Entrepreneurship Day

On Saturday, 21 February 2026, our Department of Business Management and Entrepreneurship successfully hosted its 8th Entrepreneurship Day at the Faculty of Education Lecture Theatre in Manzini, bringing together high school learners, students from various institutions of higher learning, industry leaders, sponsors, Councilor Sikhumbuzo Ngcamphalala, and other key stakeholders. The programme featured a motivational keynote address by Colisile Tfwala on building sustainable ventures and managing finances effectively, followed by an inspiring session by Mr. Mtera Tfwala, who emphasized resilience, innovation, and confidence. Mr. Linda P. Malindzisa of MyWadrobe Eswatini Exclusive Suits also shared a powerful testimonial, encouraging youth to pursue their dreams with determination despite challenges. The event was made possible through the support of partners, including MyWadrobe Eswatini Exclusive Suits, Prosperity Partnerships, and Waterman Eswatini. Other stakeholders who attended the event include the Centre for Financial Inclusion, FNB, Enactus Eswatini, MTN, Khuluma Eswatini, and others, while sign language interpretation services by Visual Communications ensured inclusivity. The event was conceptualized, planned, and executed by the BME second-year students, the FINPRENEURS, showcasing their ability to translate classroom knowledge into practical application. Entertainment by Christian Dude (≠Majajisi) added vibrancy to the programme. In her closing remarks, the Vice Chancellor, Dr. Faith Mlotsa-Mngomezulu, reiterated that Entrepreneurship Day remains central to advancing SANU’s mission of cultivating responsible and innovative citizens. She emphasized the University’s dedication to empowering young people with practical expertise in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and business development.
