Welcome to the Faculty of Theology. Our Faculty has been developing Ministers of the word
since 1912. We are committed to offering academic qualifications of the highest standards & quality
and offer a conducive environment for the conduct of research in theological studies. All our
programs are offered full-time and part-time. The Faculty of Theology has four departments namely:
Our Faculty has been developing Ministers of the word since 1912.
The Faculty offers two programs which are Theology and Business Management and entrepreneurship (BME). In the Theology department we offer a Certificate in Pastoral Ministry (CPM), Diploma in Theology (DTH) and the Bachelor of Theology (BTH).
The CPM is a three-year program that acquaints aspiring Ministers of the word with the foundations of Pastoral Ministry to nurture Christian maturity, ethical conduct and rich interpersonal relationships. Throughout their studies, students will develop presentation skills by engaging in oral and written communication. During practicum, they will be exposed to various pastoral skills. The program is offered in both the SiSwati and English languages.
The DTH program is a three-year program that is designed to assist learners who are called to full time ministry and those who want to know theology from any Christian denomination. The program is offered in English.
The BTH is a four-year program that aims to produce competent theologians who embody character, integrity and will be prepared to meet the challenges of their time and make a positive difference in their communities. It tackles advanced theoretical and research aspects in theology and the biblical truth. The program also prepares men and women for service in the church by equipping them intellectually, socially and spiritually. The BME is a three-year study that offers innovative program in the areas of business administration combined with entrepreneurship to offer produce transformational and entrepreneurial future business leaders who will drive enterprises to success or start their own successful enterprises.
