Visit by The Africa Region – Higher Education and Clergy Development Coordinator of the Church of the Nazarene

The Africa Region – Higher Education and Clergy Development Coordinator of the Church of the Nazarene REV. Dr. Gabriel Benjiman and Team visits SANU.

Southern Africa Nazarene University (SANU) appreciates the visit by the Africa Region – Higher Education and Clergy Development Coordinator Rev. Dr. Gabriel Benjiman, Prof Mark Mann from Point Loma Nazarene University, USA, and Rev Halissone Nefitala from Mozambique. Prof Mark Mann is a subject-matter expert in theology whereas Rev. Nefitala is the Principal of the Seminario Nazareno Mozambique. The purpose of the visit was to engage with SANU Management particularly the Faculty of Theology, on the institution’s ongoing efforts aimed at expanding access to the institution’s theology programmes across the region. “Our visit reaffirms the work that SANU particularly the Faculty of Theology is doing on clergy development within the region”. “We are excited about the University’s ongoing efforts in its academic programmes, strengthening of partnerships with the Church of the Nazarene, and various stakeholders. We are fully committed to supporting SANU in achieving its strategic goals,” said Rev. Dr. Benjiman. The visit also included a tour of the university’s Siteki Campus and the Farm. The Vice Chancellor of SANU appreciated the visit and underscored the support that the University was receiving from the Regional Office, the Church of the Nazarene and various stakeholders.
