Overview of the Programme

The program aims to produce competent theologians who embody character, integrity and will be prepared to meet the challenges of their time and make a positive difference in their communities. It tackles advanced theoretical and research aspects in theology and the biblical truth. The program also prepares men and women for service in the church by equipping them intellectually, socially and spiritually.

Admission Requirements

O’ Level Admissions: a minimum of six GCE O ‘Level subject passes at C grade or better which should include English Language and at least four other relevant subjects. IGCSE/SGCSE: A Minimum of six passes at C or better in English Language and four other relevant subjects. A ‘Level Admissions: a minimum of two grades at C or better at A ‘Level or equivalent qualification. Mature Age Entry Scheme: Candidates must be above 25 years old, have attended and completed a course of study in the last 10 years at an institution recognized by the university.

Duration

This programme is studied over a period of four (4) years or 8 semesters on a full-time, basis [Evening classes].

Career Opportunities in Theology  

Career options in this field include; chaplaincy in a variety of institutional settings, such as military, prisons, police, hospitals, trade and industry, or work in the social welfare arms of charities and the church, e.g. overseas development aid, communication functions and pastoral care. Our programmes in theology are also enriched with entrepreneurship to enable graduates to run their business to support their churches & communities.
