Southern Africa Nazarene University Launches a Learning Hub

In a landmark event that marks a significant stride towards enhancing educational opportunities for students, Southern Africa Nazarene University celebrated the launch of a cutting-edge Learning Hub generously funded by the Montrose Church of the Nazarene, California, USA. The repurposing of one of the facilities to a Learning Hub was done at a cost of USD60 000 (E1.2M). The donation comes at a time when SANU is in the process of aligning with global trends in Higher Education. The newly launched hub represents a significant milestone in the University’s commitment to fostering academic excellence in teaching and learning, and in preparing students for the digital world. Thus the launched Learning Hub is a testament to the University’s vision of creating an institutional ecosystem where knowledge and information is accessible, computing skills are ingrained to students and technology-based instruction thrives.

The launch was attended by esteemed representative members of the Montrose Church of the Nazarene including the Reverends Dave Roberts and Scott Chamberlain. Also in attendance was Dr Faith Mlotsa-Mngomezulu the Vice Chancellor of SANU together with members of the Executive Management, staff and student representatives. The Eswatini Nazarene National Board Chairperson Reverend Sipho Ncongwane, who was accompanied by the secretary Mr Xolela Myeni, gave the vote of thanks for the generous donation and indicated that he was excited about the endless possibilities the Learning Hub will offer to both students and staff.
