SANU on the 13th of June 2024 hosted a delegation from Taiwan consisting of Professors in Nursing Sciences. This was a courtesy visit at the invitation of the Honourable Minister of Education and Training, Owen Nxumalo, in an effort to enhance partnerships between the Taiwan Universities and local Higher Education Institutions. The discussions with SANU management focussed on Artificial Intelligence (AI) particularly on how the Institution can engage with it while safeguarding learning by students, embrace the technology to enhance student learning experience and prepare both staff and students for a future where AI will take center stage. The delegation also toured the teaching laboratories in the Faculty of Health Sciences. SANU is grateful to the Ministry of Education and Training for this initiative.
